what the fuck are we doing

EP launch is way outta the way and we’ve had a few shows since then which have all been fun, but we all think it’s time to move on and write some new ting before we forget how to write music!

We’re thinking there might be a slight genre change, however we aren’t sure till we write and see what it comes out like sounding! We didn’t manage to get on any festival line ups this year which sucks, but that’s what you get for not really trying hard enough! Still need to send the EP to everyone we know and really push it so that loads hear it.

For now, we write and continue to blindly fall through the net of life, getting one step closer at a time to writing a song that’ll blow your whatnots off x

EP Launch

We released an EP, and we had a whale of a time, things broke in pure marabou fashion and people got hurt and glasses got smashed and lots of people had a good time! 

Support bands were incredible, Infrared Bear smashed it as did Nofunclub. Guernica, for a band we hadn’t seen before were possibly the best band as far as similarity goes that we have played with and we are gonna do some more shows with them for sure! Lovely guys too, nice shoes.

Next up for us is printing more EP’s - (cus they all sold out ha!) getting some little lyric booklets and doing a fuckload more shows. We’re headlining some football club tonight in midsomer norton with nofunclub. We have no idea whats happening there or anything and a couple of us are tired from sweating at Biffy last night and catching drumsticks in the LG arena… Standard stuff really. However, it’ll get sorted and it’ll be cool we’re sure. Then the next night (23rd) We’re headlining the Saracens head in Bath, which should be fun! and then after that we’re headlining the farmhouse in Bath with some amazing bands. After that we’re gonna get out to some cities and get our noise out to some more people!!!

stuff. We’ve been doing STUFF.

Ello again. An update for ya’ll! What we’ve been doing the past few days is receiving the most coma inducing artwork EVER. We love it. We’ve also been making pages for our E.P launch, deciding which bands are gonna support us and also where, when, how and what is going to be like/how it’s all gonna happen.

Must say, it’s a refreshing kind of feeling seeing everything panning out in front of your eyes, with your buddies all proud and stuff. Makes you forget you’re on the doll living with your parents in your 20’s. Unless you’re the daddy of the band. THE DADDY. Noone wants to live with daddy.

Whats been decided is a DATE - 16/03/13 a VENUE - GREEN PARK TAVERN and a few support bands.

INFRARED BEAR. These guys are fucking nutters. Bringing together the complexities of Hella and intertwining them with the presence of Pulled Apart By Horses. Bound to be some bleeding, otherwise they’re never getting booked by us again.

NOFUNCLUB. Now, these guys are HELLA FUNSIES. Bringing the fun for sure, their complex yet easy on the ear rhythms and smooth as shit vocals have progressed so much over the past year or so and we’re proud to have them on the bill. Look out for a chirpy as hell drummer which will never fail to make you snigger.

GUERNICA. A really new band hailing from Bath Spa uni or Bath uni or whatever, we found out about these chaps by looking at ASIWYFA’s wall on Facebook and there they were, having a little promote. Listened to a track and deary deary us. Post rock support is a no brainer and is going to be a real good time to hear for the first time. Their jumpy rhythms and chill out sections are great along with their buildups and delay parts. Gonna be cool.

EP finalisation whatwhatwhat

Well, after almost 2 years we have found ourselves with 5 demos and an EP recorded, mixed and ready to be sent off to inspire some artists!

This first dive into the studio will be named after a mysterious natural psychonominon. ‘Maelstrom’ will be the name. Don’t know what the artwork will come out like, or who is even doing it for that matter. We all have different tastes and opinions, so only the clever ones are left to indulge us in opinions and drive us to the correct, logical decisions. But we don’t even know who that is so we have to discuss that too.

There are definite visual concepts that I (clever drummer) can think of. A whirlpool leading down to an unknown realm, perhaps an ironic haven, or a Pirates of the Caribbean whitey upside-down world where nothing is what it seems… Perhaps a stork diving down to the unknown vortex to save a young boy called Pepe, his parents left him whilst looking for work in the nearest city and asked said stork to keep a beady eye… Who knows, but hopefully it’ll be badass.
